Marco Di Sante: Foraging for Flow

InnLyte Studio Series with Marco Di Sante

In the third Seed Episode of the InnLyte Studio Series, multidisciplinary artist Marco Di Sante explores the complex relationship between humans and nature, not just through his final works but through his deeply rooted practice of harvesting and experimentation. Based in Kilkenny, the Italian-born artist has earned recognition for his sculptural abstractions that reuse organic and abandoned elements—from river nettle to wind-sculpted root matter. For Marco, the creative process is deliberately non-conventional, involving foraging for materials rather than buying them. This time spent connecting with the physical world, free from the pressure of a predefined outcome, is the source of its profound therapeutic benefit.

I think creating something that doesn't exist, or trying to make something that doesn't represent anything, through this process, you learn things, and that is good for yourself, for your mind.
